While we aim to provide comprehensive coverage, there are some exclusions to be aware of. Here’s a list of some of the situations where your claim may not be covered:
- Claims where you have a relevant pre-existing condition or a Gradually Operating Cause.
- Sickness Pay claims arising due to HIV, AIDS, chronic kidney disease, Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, elective surgery, or PTSD.
- Claims resulting from the use of alcohol, drugs, or controlled substances other than as prescribed by a doctor.
- If you are Unfit To Work for a shorter period than the Waiting Period shown in the Policy Schedule.
- If the period you are Unfit to Work does not commence immediately following an Accident or the onset of an Illness.
- If you are fit to work.
For policies purchased from the 10th March 2026 onwards the following exclusions have also been applied:
- If the Accident occurred or the Illness commenced during the policy Qualifying Period.
- If you are Unfit To Work as a result of any psychological, psychiatric, or mental health condition, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, stress-related disorders, or other behavioural conditions.
- If you are Unfit To Work as a result of any psychological, psychiatric, or mental health condition, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, stress-related disorders, or other behavioural conditions.
- If you are Unfit To Work as a result of any non-specific back pain, lumbago, soft tissue injuries, or musculoskeletal disorders unless such condition is directly attributable to a single identifiable Accident.
