Before you begin, make sure the NordVPN app is installed and that no other VPN services are active on your device.
To confirm that NordVPN is working correctly, try the checks below:
Open the NordVPN app. You should see a green banner that shows Connected.
Check your device notifications. You should see a NordVPN notification that confirms you are connected.
Open a web browser and visit the NordVPN website. A black banner at the top of the page should show Your status: Protected.
If your device does not support a browser, or if you need an alternative method:
Use NordVPN’s leak testing tools to confirm that your IP address and DNS are protected.
If you do not see any signs that you are protected, you may need to troubleshoot the connection or contact NordVPN support for more help.
